Abstract

The Kit Reed collection, 1987-1989, contains correspondence between Reed's editor and publisher regarding her 1989 book Revision, as well as galley proofs and an edited manuscript of her 1987 book Catholic Girls. Kit Reed was born Lilian Hyde Craig on June 7, 1932 in San Diego, California. She began writing stories as a child. Reed graduated from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland in 1954.

Abstract The Loyola University Maryland autograph collection, 1853-1988, consists of letters written to Loyola College administrators and Dr. Nicholas Varga, Loyola Archivist, from notable people of the time. The Postcard collection, circa 1901-circa 1969, includes postcards from throughout the United States, as well as international locations. These postcards are addressed to Sister Mary Immaculata, Sister Mary Rene, Dr. and Mrs. John Buchness, and others. There are four boxes of postcards and one box of related materials and ephemera in the collection.

Abstract The Sister Maura Eichner collection of Samuel Hazo materials, 1961-1972, consists of books of poetry, original manuscripts, magazines, and letters sent by Hazo to Sister Maura Eichner at the College of Notre Dame of Maryland. Sister Maura Eichner was born May 5, 1915 in New York City. She entered the School Sisters of Notre Dame in 1933 and professed vows in 1936.
