From the Series:
Patricia Murphy, SSND led an oral history project in 1989 to interview faculty, staff, alumni, and others connected with the College of Notre Dame of Maryland. She conducted the interviews and edited transcripts created by Frances Nilsson. This project was intended to inform the writing of a history of the college. This series includes all known versions of the interviews, including print transcripts, analog recordings, and digital recordings.

These interviews were done on reel to reel tapes at 1 7/8 speed. In January of 1989 Sister Patricia Murphy, SSND, with the assistance of Philip Fryer of the Loyola Notre Dame Library transferred these to cassette tapes.
