Scope and Contents
The Marie Adele Baldwin scrapbook of WWI YMCA service, 1919-1932, is an extensive scrapbook and photo album containing a mix of items such as documents, silver gelatin photographs, flowers, paper clips, letters (personal and offical correspondence), movement orders, handkerchief, book of photo post cards, transport papers (sailing), cloth pins, metal pins, embroidered patches from military units Baldwin entertained, string dolls, published pamphlets, paintings, holiday cards, insurance documents, music programs, movie advertisement, event program from 1922, newspaper clippings covering Baldwin's performances and social events, and personal writing on the pages throughout.
After Baldwin's time in France she continued corresponding with those she met. There are a few letters/items dated in 1922 and 1925 that speak on Baldwin’s time in France in 1919 and a 1932 The Sun newspaper clipping to show the Baltimore side of war relief work at Perry Point Hospital.
