Biographical / Historical
Phi Beta Kappa, a liberal arts and sciences honor society, was founded in 1776 at the College of William and Mary in Virginia. After over a decade of hard work and preparation, Loyola University Maryland was awarded a chapter of Phi Beta Kappa, which was known as Epsilon. The first members of Loyola University Maryland's community were inducted into the honor society in the spring of 1995.
