Drawings

André Girard (1901-1968) was a multifaceted artist, working in commercial art, painting, political cartoons, and painting on film, as well as an educator and French Resistance worker during the Second World War. The Jane Schwarz collection of André Girard materials, 1945-2016 and undated, contains articles, original artwork, prints, correspondence, exhibit brochures and catalogs, and publicity materials that illustrate the life and work of André Girard.

The Kate Greenaway letter and drawing, undated and 1895, contains a letter written by Kate Greenaway to Mrs. Evans and a drawing of a young girl. The letter addresses Greenaway's indecision about a return date because of an unknown male's illness. The drawing is of a young girl holding a rose and is on cardboard backing.

The Loyola University Maryland artwork collection, 1999-2025, contains works of art that were transferred to the archives by various offices and individuals affiliated with the university.

The Notre Dame of Maryland University artwork collection, 1850-2018, contains photographs, works on paper, paintings, and mixed media created by School Sisters of Notre Dame, lay faculty, and local, national, and international artists.
