Student life (university function)

Eta Sigma Phi (ESP) is an honor society for college and university students of classical languages, literature, culture, and history. Notre Dame established the Beta Kappa chapter of ESP on May 7, 1949. This collection, dated circa 1940s-2009, consists of the organization's bylaws, correspondence, meeting minutes, reports, programs, flyers, news clippings, and scrapbooks.

The Glee Club first met on October 21, 1936, and was the predecessor of the Concert Choir. This collection, dated 1936-1962; 1990, consists of correspondence, membership lists, sheet music, scripts, programs, brochures, news clippings, photographs, and scrapbooks.

Junior Ladies of Charity (JLC) became a “recognized unit” of the College of Notre Dame in 1942; the organization provided college women the opportunity of "carrying Christ" to others through volunteer service. This collection, dated 1938-1960s, consists of the organization's constitution, correspondence, financial documents, meeting minutes, reports, newsletters, programs, brochures, photographic materials, news clippings, and a scrapbook.

Kappa Gamma Pi (KGP) is a national Catholic college graduate honor society founded in 1926. Notre Dame became an affiliate of KGP in 1927. This collection, dated 1927 - circa 1999, consists of by-laws, reports, background material, handbooks, reports, election materials, news clippings, a certificate, brochures, and newsletters.

The Notre Dame of Maryland University memorabilia and religious artifacts collection, 1622-circa 2015, contains objects associated with the university or with notable individuals in university history.

The Modern Language Club, established in the early 1940s, “stimulate[d] an interest in the culture and language of other countries; to keep direct contact wherever possible with other countries.” This collection, dated 1940s-1974, consists of the organization's constitution, financial documents, meeting minutes, correspondence, event programs, and scrapbooks.

Our Lady’s Mission Unit was organized at the College of Notre Dame of Maryland as a unit of the Catholic Students Mission Crusade on May 16, 1919. This collection, dated 1918-1965, consists of the organization’s constitution, financial documents, meeting minutes, reports, correspondence, sheet music, event programs, news clippings, photographs, and scrapbooks.

Our Lady’s Sodality was established in 1876 as The Sodality of the Sacred Heart of Jesus at the Academy of Notre Dame; the organization had several names throughout its history. This collection, dated 1876; 1922-circa 1960, consists of founding certificate, correspondence, meeting minutes, treasurer's records, event planning documents, reports, bulletins, news clippings, photographs, and event programs.

Phi Alpha Theta (PAT) is an American honor society for undergraduate and graduate students and professors of history. Notre Dame established the Nu Pi chapter of PAT in 1968. This collection, dated 1960s - 2010, consists of background information, by-laws, correspondence, meeting minutes, bulletins, programs, and fliers.

The Notre Dame of Maryland University photograph collection collection contains prints, slides, contact sheets, negatives, glass lantern slides, and stereoscope cards as well as illustrations and engravings.
