The Theodore Maynard manuscript collection, 1945-1949, consists of original, edited manuscripts of Maynard's Henry the Eighth and Pillars of the Church books. Theodore Maynard was born in India in 1890 to English, Plymouth Brethren missionaries. In 1911, he read G.K. Chesterton's book, Orthodoxy, and began a three year conversion to Catholicism.
