Abstract

The Stereograph card collection, 1896-circa 1989, contains commercially-produced stereoscopic images depicting extravagant buildings, groups of people, and famous landmarks, and more recent self-printed images. These materials were likely used as classroom instruction tools to teach students about vision.

Immediate Source of Acquisition

Transferred by the Loyola University Maryland Computer Science Department in December 2026. Although the collection was found in a room associated with the Computer Science department, current faculty were unaware of its origins or past use in courses.
