This collection contains photographs taken of Morocco and Egypt in the early 1990s by artist and Notre Dame of Maryland University alumna Carol Manfredi. The photographs were showcased in an October 2012 Loyola Notre Dame Library exhibition titled "People in the Land of Light and Shadow." They depict the lives, environment, and faces of the people who lived in the countryside of Morocco and Egypt.

Abstract

Carol Manfredi graduated from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland in 1993. Her work has been featured in exhibitions both at the university's Gormley Gallery and Loyola Notre Dame Library's Ferguson Gallery.
