From the Series:

This series contains scrapbooks of newspaper articles appearing in 1909 during the centenary of Lincoln’s birth. Montgomery collected newspaper and magazine articles about Abraham Lincoln, his family and his legacy. The newspaper articles have been pasted into three scrapbooks and date from 1898 to 1913. The magazine articles date from 1909, the centenary of his Lincoln’s birth but were too large for the scrapbooks. Also included in this series is a copy of the book The Lincoln Centennial Medal, which contains the medal produced by Jules Edouard Roine. The book contains the medal and the original box.
