Scope and Contents

From the Series:

Sr. M. Roberta organized two exhibits honoring Gerard Manley Hopkins; the exhibit marking the centenary of his birth in 1944 and another in 1968 marking the 50th anniversary of the first edition of Hopkins’ poems. This series contains some of the exhibit materials as well as scrapbooks and photo albums of letters and photographs used in the exhibit. For the centenary exhibit, Sr. M. Roberta corresponded with Hopkins’ brother Lionel and sister Grace and originals and copies of this correspondence have been preserved. The series also includes materials from 1988-1989 on the Gerard Manley Hopkins Symposium.
