The John J. Griffin lantern slide collection, 1891-1904, consists of glass lantern slides assembled by Father J.J. Griffin to illustrate lectures he gave at Notre Dame. The collection includes glass lantern slides that display various images such as scientific drawings, famous paintings, portraits of important figures, and images of landscapes and cultures around the world.
