Scope and Contents
Cardinal Gibbons' letter to Helen Curley Tingley, 1908, consists of a photocopy of the original letter with the original envelope addressed to Helen Curley by Cardinal Gibbons. The letter acknowledges Curley Tingley's letter to Cardinal Gibbons and calls her a "good girl." Enclosed with the letter and envelope is a letter Helen Curley Tingley wrote to Father Dunn in October 1962 to describe her childhood encounter with Cardinal Gibbons and the reason she appreciated his letter. A second Helen Curley Tingley letter is included with a response to Father Dunn's request for more information about her life after meeting the Cardinal.
