Jessie Bochini (Sister Trinitas Bochini) scrapbook, 1945-1949
Scope and Contents
This collection, dated 1876-2001, includes materials from Notre Dame of Maryland University alumni that document academic and student life as well as work and personal life after attending the university. The collection consists of correspondence, event programs, newspaper clippings, a scrapbook, textbooks, class notes, grade reports, diplomas, and photographs.

Biographical / Historical
Jessie Louise Bochini was born on December 8, 1927, in Cohoes, NY. She was the youngest of the three daughters of Giuseppe (Joseph) and Iuvanita (Anita) Ceccucci Bochini. Jessie came to the College of Notre Dame of Maryland in Sept. 1945. She applied to candidature with the School Sisters of Notre Dame at the end of her sophomore year. Jessie received a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Mathematics from Notre Dame of Maryland in 1949. She later earned a Master of Arts in Physics and Mathematics in 1961 and a Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology in 1977 from Catholic University.
Jessie was received as a novice on July 16, 1949, and became Sister Mary Trinitas. She professed her first vows on Aug. 3, 1950. Sr. Trinitas stayed at St. Mary's from 1950 until she was transferred to the College of Notre Dame of Md. in 1962. When she returned to the College of Notre Dame of Maryland, she taught physics. For almost 20 years, Sister Trinitas worked as a professor and maintained a private practice in psychology. Until her retirement, she continued to teach and serve in leadership roles at the University. Sister Mary Trinitas died on the morning of October 29, 2020.
