Biographical / Historical
Founded in 1776, the Phi Beta Kappa Society is the oldest academic honor society in the United States. As of 2019, a total of 286 chapters exist at American colleges and universities. However, there is no evidence a chapter formally existed at Notre Dame of Maryland University.
