Scope and Contents
The Notre Dame of Maryland University memorabilia and religious artifacts collection, 1622-circa 2015, contains objects associated with the university or with notable individuals in university history. The collection includes memorabilia, jewelry and pins, medals, ornaments, silverware and other metal objects, and religious artifacts.

Biographical / Historical
This medal was instigated by Stephen Parks and commissioned by the Elizabethan Club of Yale University to commemorate its 75th anniversary. The obverse is an adaptation of the Club's contemporary portrait of Queen Elizabeth by Federigo Zuccaro. On the reverse is a phoenix similar to that on Drake Jewel by Nicholas Hilliard. This is one of thirty artist's copies in bronze, marked and given to him by some of his friends who are not members of the Club.
