Scope and Contents

The Loyola University Maryland oral history collection, 2011-2021, contains interviews with people affiliated with Loyola University Maryland, primarily conducted by students in David Carey Jr.'s class HS485: Oral History in the Americas. The collection includes interview transcripts as well as audio and video files. The interviews were supervised by Special Advisor to the President Stephanie Brizee and Professor of History David Carey Jr. Interviewees discuss student life across different time periods at Loyola University Maryland, their connections to Loyola post-graduation, and how their Loyola experiences influenced their career and life trajectories.

Immediate Source of Acquisition

The majority of the materials were transferred from the History Department of Loyola University Maryland in 2021. Some interviews were done by the library in 2011 and 2013.
