Biographical / Historical

The Mendel Club, also known as the Mendel Biology Club and Seminar or the Mendel Biological Society of Loyola College, was founded in 1929. The purpose of the organization was “to foster interest in research and to keep abreast of current advances in the biological sciences.” The organization’s activities included field trips, lectures, and seminars. Membership was open to all students attending biology courses.
