Scope and Contents
Patricia Murphy, SSND led an oral history project in 1989 to interview faculty, staff, alumni, and others connected with the College of Notre Dame of Maryland. She conducted the interviews and edited transcripts created by Frances Nilsson. This project was intended to inform the writing of a history of the college. This series includes all known versions of the interviews, including print transcripts, analog recordings, and digital recordings.

Access is restricted to education records of living students or former students, as defined by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, unless the student or former student grants access in writing. If it is not possible to verify date of death, the student will be assumed to be deceased 80 years after date of graduation, or date of last attendance.
In some cases, oral histories may be restricted by the interviewee, or the lack of a consent form makes the interviewee's wishes unclear. In these cases public access to the interview is restricted.
Biographical / Historical
Sister Mary Agnes Klug, SSND was a member of the class of 1931 of the College of Notre Dame of Maryland. She joined the faculty in the chemistry department in 1942 and taught in that department until 1959. In 1957 she was named the Director of Admissions, a position she held until 1972. From 1972-1981 she served as the Director of Planned Giving in the Development Office. She held the rank of Associate Professor of Chemistry. At the time of this interview, she was the Director of Activities at Villa Assumpta.
