Biographical / Historical

Evergreen Players, a theater group established in 1974, operated in conjunction with Loyola University Maryland’s Fine Arts Department. According to the production programs and Loyola’s theatre website, plays were directed by Loyola theatre faculty or professionals in the broader theater community. The production leads, such as musical director, technical director, set design, lighting design, and costume design, also appear to be professionals in the broader theater community while the cast and production staff were students. Although external participants played an important role in the group, according to the Office of Student Activities website Evergreen Players was a student organization with a student president.
